Our Sponsored British Showjumper Joseph Stockdale
Elliott of London’s British up & coming Young Rider, Joseph Stockdale, the incredible son of Tim Stockdale.
Whilst working closely with Laura, Joseph’s mother, we created a show jumping sculpture commission of once in a lifetime horse ‘Kalico Bay’. The sculpture was commissioned in memory of the great late Tim Stockdale. Kalico Bay was one of Tim’s favourite horses and he had always wanted a sculpture created by us. We began creating a wonderful relationship with the whole Stockdale family & team so we to looked at opportunities to continue to support the family and the Tim Stockdale Foundation.
Joseph has proved a wonderful ambassador for us at Elliott of London & has made a serious impact on the show jumping scene in the last few years & we are now proud sponsors of him.
Joseph Stockdale’s History
Joseph began his equestrian life at the Oakley Hunt West Pony Club. During his Pony Club years, he competed in Tetrathlon and show jumping teams, he was also in the Mounted Games team at Horse of the Year Show in 2013.
At the age of 12, Joe moved onto horses and enjoyed riding for his School Team.
Joseph has produced several horses now, from the lower levels right up to Grand Prix level.
In 2017 Joseph was selected to jump on his first junior team for Great Britain meaning travelling to shows in Belgium and Holland.
After a successful year Joseph jumped at the British Show Jumping National Championships in August 2018 and qualified to jump at Horse of the Year Show later that year, where he won the 5-Fence challenge and finished 9th in the Grand Prix. Not long after that Joseph competed at Olympia, London & finished 8th in the Under 25 Grand Prix.
Another successful trip to Spain, he won his first Ranking class alongside a good amount of placings in other classes too! He has since won the Under 25’s at Royal Windsor & was selected to be a part of the GBR Young Riders European Championship Squad in Holland this Summer.
After the very sad loss of Tim in 2018, Joseph & Laura are now taking on the challenge of running the successful yard in Northamptonshire. The Stockdale’s yard is not only kept up to the highest of standards, with quality horses filling up the stables daily it has an amazing warm family run feel to it, where we now have proudly placed the Kalico Bay sculpture in front for the house & main stable block.
We look forward to continuing our support of Joseph & the Stockdale team, we wish them all the best of luck at up & coming events.
Joseph is a great ambassador for our equestrian sculptures, promoting our show jumping sculpture and even our dressage sculptures. Each of our sculptures are individually created by eye and hand to provide a focal feature with your garden or area.
All our sculptures are handcrafted on the borders of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire in our rural studio. Each sculpture is individually designed and crafted by British Sculptor Charles Elliott, he works closely with his team to achieve an effective sculpture to a high specification of finish. If you are interested in our rustic horseshoe stag sculpture, to set within your garden or grounds, or a galvanised shiny garden with gold leaf features to create a focal point
Our sculptures are all available to view at our studio and appointments can be made for us to visit you to discuss commissions and personalised sculptures. When you visit our British based Sculpture Studio in Hertfordshire, you can see the design and sculpting process involved in each sculpture. All enquiries to buy our sculptures are also welcomed via us direct or through our sponsors, they are happy to assist and discuss our sculptures and refer you for technical questions.
We now also provide our options to lease and hire our sculptures to commercial and corporate clients. We give you the options to have our sculptures on show around their offices, at trade shows and to create an unforgettable impact on new and existing clients.
